A Summerville homeowner called Carolina Energy Conservation in December asking about making their home more comfortable, year round.
Our installers were there just a few weeks later, and went to work in the attic. The team removed old insulation and prepared it for fresh and clean new installments.
Then, the CEC team used an expanding polyurethane foam to seal any top plates and openings in the attic.
We installed soffit venting where needed, air sealed and insulated all attic hatches.
Our team members used cellulose insulation. It can be installed over existing insulation in most applications and reduces air infiltration through wall cavities. And perhaps the best part, it reduces heating and cooling bills by as much as 32 percent!
The homeowner’s chimneys were wrapped with fireproof rockwool insulation. Rockwool is made from actual rock and has a flame spread of zero.
Installing new insulation will give this home a warm interior during the Winter season.
