Duct encapsulation in Pawleys Island

A homeowner in Pawleys Island faced the challenge of sweating ducts that were affecting their home's comfort and energy efficiency. They turned to Carolina Energy Conservation for a reliable solution. After a comprehensive energy evaluation, it was determined that encapsulating the ducts with spray foam would be the best option. This method not only sealed the ducts effectively but also provided excellent thermal resistance. With the spray foam now applied, the homeowner can breathe easier, knowing this upgrade will prevent moisture buildup and significantly enhance the overall energy efficiency of their home, creating a more comfortable and sustainable living environment.

Attic Insulation in Myrtle Beach, SC

This Myrtle Beach Homeowner found Carolina Energy Conservation at the Spring Home Show. They were concerned that part of their attic was not insulated. In the South Carolina summer, if we don't have enough attic insulation in the overheated 125 degree F attic, the heat penetrates your paltry insulation, or lack there of, and heats up the drywall ceiling. Then that heat radiates down into the room and heats all the objects which in turn heat the air in the room. We provide the solution of blow in insulation to an R 30-60 to meet regional standards and provide your home with the tools to keep you cool. They are now ready for the summer heat!

Attic Insulation in Myrtle Beach

A family in Myrtle Beach contacted Carolina Energy Conservation to enhance their home’s energy efficiency and relieve stress on their HVAC system. They decided to install R-30 cellulose insulation, known for its excellent thermal performance. This is the perfect solution to significantly improve the home's overall energy efficiency by providing effective temperature regulation and reducing heat loss. Additionally, the cellulose insulation helped make the garage more energy-efficient, contributing to a more consistent indoor climate throughout the house. With the installation of insulation, the strain on the HVAC system will be significantly reduced, ensuring long-term savings on energy bills and increased comfort.

Attic Insulation in North Surfside Beach

A household in North Surfside Beach recently chose Carolina Energy Conservation to improve their home's comfort and energy efficiency. After an energy evaluation, they decided to install Trusoft cellulose insulation for its eco-friendly benefits and superior performance. Made from recycled paper products, Trusoft cellulose provides excellent thermal insulation by filling gaps and crevices, reducing heat loss, and blocking drafts. Its dense, fibrous structure also offers soundproofing benefits and helps control moisture, enhancing overall home comfort. With the cellulose installed, their home will now have a more consistent indoor temperature, lower energy bills, and a more eco-conscious living environment, making it more comfortable year-round.

Attic Insulation Project in Myrtle Beach

A Myrtle Beach couple wanted to upgrade their attic insulation, which is a popular energy-saving technique.

More energy is lost through the attic than any other part of the house.

CEC installers removed old attic insulation and replaced with fresh, clean insulation.

To removed old insulation, we used a blowing machine outside the house to force a blown insulation through a long, flexible hose that extends all the way into the attic, where a team member directs the flow.

Our team sealed any opening and top plates with expanding polyurethane foam.

This closed-cell foam method is often preferred for home insulation projects because it forms a more effective moisture barrier.

Finally, we wrapped all chimneys with fireproof rockwool.

These methods will increase this couple’s home comfort and reduce their energy bills.
