This homeowner was concerned that his home in Laurinburg was wasting too much energy. After our comfort specialists visited the home, they noticed that the home's can lights were not sealed properly and were allowing air to flow freely through and around them. So, Carolina Energy Conservation installed can light covers and used air sealant to reduce air leakage.
Now the homeowners are more comfortable in their home all while saving energy.
Blown in fiberglass insulation in attic in Huger, SC 29450
Check out the amazing before and after photos of this insulation job our team completed in Pembroke, NC!
When radiant sun energy strikes a roof, it heat the shingles, felt paper and roof decking by conduction, it causes the underside of the decking and the roof framing to radiate heat downward through the attic toward the attic floor. When a radiant barrier is in place most of the heat radiated from the hot roof is reflected back toward the roof and this reduces the amount of heat that moves into the rooms below.
Attics are the number one priority of sealing and insulating in the process of making a house more efficient. When the attic is not properly insulated, major amounts of air can escape. This is the number one cause of high energy bills. Adding proper amounts of blown in insulation will solve a large portion of energy inefficiency problems.
