This local Myrtle Beach homeowner had their original home builder over to investigate their home for any possible deficiencies since it was completed years ago. They expressed rising energy costs as well, and the builder referred them to Carolina Energy Conservation as experts in the field who have done great work for him in the past. Carolina Energy Conservation quickly sent out a specialist to provide a free attic and crawlspace inspection, and found multiple issues with the crawlspace insulation under the house. We suggested the removal and disposal of the existing insulation, followed by air sealing the attic and new blown in cellulose to R38. We encapsulated the ducts throughout the attic and installed a 35 watt Solatube attic fan. The home is now ready for lower electric bills throughout all the season.
