Crawlspace encapsulation in Socastee, SC
Challenge
The homeowner called Carolina Energy Conservation and wanted someone to come take a look at her crawlspace. The appointment was set by the appointment center and Alex, from our sales team went out to do a FREE estimate in Socastee, South Carolina.
Alex took a look at her crawlspace. He walked around the property and went under the house to take a look at the condition of the crawlspace. Alex explained to the customer what needed to be done so that they could have a more comfortable home. The job was sold and the team could now start encapsulating the crawlspace.
There was a small challenge for this home. The home was built 20 years ago and a lot of the wiring for the house was located in the crawlspace. This is very common for this type of house built 20 years ago. The team geared up and went in and ripped out the old insulation and began to encapsulate the crawlspace.
A crawlspace is a shallow structure install directly into the dirt underneath a home. If you have utilities in your crawlspace such as a water heater, furnace, water pipe, your energy bills will suffer.
This homeowner was hopeful that their energy bills would be better in the future and the fluctuation of the temperature would no longer force the heating and cooling systems (HVAC) to work harder causing the energy cost to rise. Before, during, and after the installation the homeowner was updated about the progress of the job.
They got to see progress photos from the installers.
Solution
The solution for this problem is that the team fully encapsulated the crawlspace underneath the home. The homeowner who is hopeful to have their energy bills go down did not have to worry about the fluctuating temperature in Myrtle Beach. Intern the crawlspace was encapsulated and their energy bills were down.
